I hit .150 as a high school shortstop. I threw 81-84 with no second pitch and zero college interest. I played club ball in college instead of varsity. Nobody projected any of what came next — six years of professional baseball, including 2021-2024 in the Minnesota Twins system. None of it happened by following the path everyone else said I should be on — it happened because I stopped worrying about whether I fit that path at all.
